Fire is one of the 4 ancient alchemical elements (along with earth, air and water). Fire is often seen and referred to in the webcomic Gunnerkrigg Court; symbolism related to it is often featured on bonus pages of the comic, especially when in regards to Fire Elementals, who are etheric creatures that appear to be entirely made of fire. Antimony Carver and her mother Surma, who are humans descended from fire elementals, have powers associated with this element as well, which constitutes most of its appearances other than symbolism and bonus pages in the comic.
