A Chickcharney is a mythical being that resembles a barn owl with arms but no wings.
The only Chickcharney to appear so far was seen in chapter 42. Apparently, there is also an entry of them on page 65 in Hardwick and Little's Bestiary.

According to Andros Island lore, a chickcharney is a barn-owl like being that can bring good luck to those who treat it well, and misfortune to those that mistreat it.
