Blue is the nickname given to a Suicide Fairy whom Annie met by The Annan Waters. Originally a resident of Gillitie Wood, Blue was one of the two last members of her class to pass a test--which required her to die--to get a new body. Annie refused to help her in this, but Blue eventually passed the test with the help of Ysengrin and his stomach. (Chapter 15, Page 16) After her death and subsequent transformation into a human, Blue enrolled at Gunnerkrigg Court, in Foley House.

While a fairy, Blue's best friend was her fellow fairy Red, but after their transformation Blue grew apart from her friend because Red "changed". It turns out that the change to which Blue objected was purely aesthetic, and after Red gets a hair cut Blue begs to be her friend again.

Blue is first seen on Chapter 8, Page 8. She first appears in human form on Chapter 15, Page 10.
